FAQ
Q:What is an Arc?
A:As the contacts of a circuit breaker carrying current open, the medium between the open contacts becomes highly ionised and the interrupted current gains a low resistance path through it and continues to flow through that path, even if the contacts are physically separated. During the flow of current from one contact to the other, the path becomes so hot that it glows. This is known as an arc.
Q:Where to use?
A:These circuit breakers are suitable for use in panels, switchboards, motor control centres, control panels, combined starters, individual enclosures and busbar plug-in units.
